We throw the digital whip at ourselves,
every day, hour, minute and second.
At the far end we act as silenced servants,
forced to adapt and obey.
No channel available
to find our voice,
nor space to live,
silent enough to allow a presence.

I have experimented with meditation. It hurts too. To me, civilization felt very uncivilized when I returned after a retreat. Screaming sounds, colours traffic sign etc. (Not just cutting off the cell phone but also my computer including, email, facebooks, blogs, search engines and a hard drive stacked with already downloaded text, sound, and videos.

I think that the Noise we collectively make, is the worst of the pollutions. Gurdijeif thought it was light, but, you can just close your eyes. but silence is almost impossible in any place where people gather. Dr. Bob
